Performing
Joan Liu was trained in multiple genres before starting her performing career with Taipei Royal Ballet in 2002 and have performed in Canada, France, US, and Taiwan. As a student, she completed exams in the Russian Vaganova system and Royal Academy of Dance. She’s attended summer intensives and seminars with American Ballet Theatre (NY), Joffrey Academy of Dance (Chicago), Goh Ballet Academy (Canada), Vancouver Ballet Society (Canada), Paul Taylor Dance Company (NY), Taipei National University of the Arts (Taiwan) among others.

Joan is a versatile dancer who currently dances for Aries in Flight (jazz/theatre), and Gwen Rakotovao Company (contemporary/ modern) along with other freelance projects, and was a former soloist with American Liberty Ballet.
