Choreography
Joan Liu was trained in multiple genres, which she brings to her choreography. She combines her training in different fields of academics for her project "Dance Dat Science". In addition, Joan's choreography takes a deep dive into neurological disorders including special needs and psychological difficulties while presenting a sense of humor.

Joan's choreography, including a full-length ballet, has been showcased in various historic venues in Taiwan and US including New York city Center, Dixon Place, Abrons Ars Center, Players Theatre, Frederick Loewe Theater...etc. Please see the following for a list of her work. She served as the resident choreographer at American Liberty Ballet before launching Axons Dance Theatre to focus on the creative process and to encourage communication through the art of dance.
